August 2010

Apparently, I wait until the end of each month to blog about anything and I am not sure I like that about me.  I am afraid it may just get worse and worse with Francesca coming in less than 3 weeks!!  AGHH, I know, super fun, yet scary all at the same time.  Obviously I didn't have the best experience with my last delivery and dread the idea of going through it all over again.  However, just getting this baby out of this belly that is growing ever so quickly safe and sound is my best option right now.

This month had some important events, beginning with my amazing husbands 31st birthday!  I will spare you all from my lovey dovey talk towards him and leave you with BEST HUSBAND IN THE WORLD!!  We celebrated his birthday with a trip to Disneyland and had an amazing time.  We also discovered a delectable breakfast place where we ate twice!  We also were able to watch at least half of World of Color, which we both thought was pretty amazing!  For his birthday I got him a few clothing items and then my also amazing father-in-law came over and helped me do some surprises in the backyard (grape vineyard, planting some trees, and a trellis for our berries)!  Looks amazing!

Ella, my little baby, turned 1 1/2 this month and I am not sure where the time has gone.  I am not completely sure I am ready for our time alone together to be over.  She is growing up so fast and I just want her to stay little forever.  Everything on that baby girl is growing, including her hair that has taken forever to come in.  She is talking in sentences now and I am only understanding every other word with her.  :) She has so much personality and is very strong willed.  She definitely knows what she wants and what she doesn't want.  She has 10 teeth with two on their way in. (4 molars, 4 front bottom teeth, 2 front top teeth, and two top teeth coming in).  We started working on our letters this month and she knows the letter M and the letter A (recognizes letters and sounds).  She colors the pages and interacts with the video!  She continues to use her signs for many things and knows around 20 different signs (cat, dog, bird, baby, time, dance, music, want, more, milk, drink, cracker, please, sorry, food, sleep, dad, mom, grandma, grandpa, apple, watermelon, and her favorite is thank you) She is very affectionate with my belly and will sign baby and giver "her" kisses.  I am wondering if she is going to understand what is really going on in that belly and how much our lives are about to change.

*PICTURES OF ELLA AT 18 MONTHS COMING SOON!!!

I also began selling Discovery Toys at the beginning of this month.  Man, these are some awesome awesome toys!!  I really just wanted the starter kit and then that turned into me wanting to let everyone else know about them.  I haven't really made any money off the job because any commission I do get I end up turning around and spending it on these cool toys!  Totally worth it!  Just the other day, Ella and I were reading one of the books that has matching animals and she was telling me all the animal sounds and was doing so good matching the heads to the back ends!  I love knowing we can play and learn at the same time!

Hopefully, I will blog a few more times before the baby comes; but life is incredibly hectic right now with getting everything ready for this baby and trying to keep the house clean with my curious little george running around!

P.S. As I was uploading my pictures to the computer I noticed I left a few things out of our recent adventures!  Towards the end of July, we made a trip to the beach to enjoy the beautiful sun and cool air of Morro Bay.  My sister was able to get a beach house for the week so we went and hung out for the weekend.  We were able to make it to the Atascadero Zoo where we had taken Ella when she was about 4 or 5 months old.  This time there was a tiger there and Ella had a lot of fun!

Also at the end of the month we went to Lake Isabella to celebrate Carson's grandfathers 90th birthday party.  It was really fun to hear all the amazing things his grandfather had done and accomplished and all the loving friends and family that were there to support him.  He is yet just another AMAZING MCMILLAN.

July 2010

I suppose I can't actually blog about July since today is July 1st.  However, I have decided to make that my title anyway.  Life has been chaotic and fun all at the same time as I get bigger and bigger with each day.  I am pass the comfortable part of pregnancy.  Sleep, well, its just not happening.  I have an acrobat in my tummy that keeps me up and I often wake up with a feeling of a boulder on my chest (basically letting me know to turn to my side and get off my back!!)  This morning I was awoken with severe leg cramps (if you have had them you know what I mean!).  For the last 5 days I have had this nagging headache that gets worse as the day goes on.  I think if it were my first pregnancy I would lay down all day and feel sorry for myself.  Fortunately for me, I have this amazing little busy body that doesn't allow for that. She has definitely been keeping me on my toes as she explores her little world around her.  We are also going through the "frustrations" as she often has a hard time understanding why she can't run around a restaurant or why she can't get into every cupboard in the house.  Mommy is so mean sometimes :).  Ella is developing everyday and it is so fun to watch her.  Yesterday she said "I wuv you" to her daddy on the new Iphone.  SO FUN!!  She is getting too many teeth at once and I am not sure if it is driving me or her crazier?  Poor baby!  We had her doctors appointment yesterday and at 16 months she is 30 1/4 inches tall and she weighs 19.8 lbs.  I KNOW! She is my small little nugget, thats for sure.  I thought she would be 20 lbs so she would fit into her new car seat....guess not!  Well, I suppose I have bored you all enough and will be back later with updates on Ella's big girl room as we get ready for Baby M (not sure of name yet!)

June 2010

Yes, I know it has been a long time since I have blogged due to CRAZY LIFE!!  Where do I begin?  Well, I can start by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my mother in law!!

We just got back from a one week trip to Tahoe with the in-laws and it was FUN!!!  I will only post a few pictures!!  We got to get away from the Bakersfield heat and it always stayed in the high 60s low 70s.  Could we have asked for better weather?  I just wish Tahoe was a little closer than 6.5 hours away.  We did some hiking, geo-caching, eating :), and lots of exploring.  It was neat that we were able to visit Virginia City and Carson City (those are our names if you didn't get it!)

Life has started to become slower due to my stomach growing and growing!  I am now 6 1/2 months pregnant and I feel like I could not get any bigger.  However, I know that is not going to happen.  I think I am passed the "cute" part of pregnancy and now begins the swollen, unattractive part of pregnancy!  I am getting excited though to meet my little angel and for Ella to hold her little sister!  She

I Love and Miss you Grandpa...

On Tuesday, May 11th at 10:15 P.M., God called another one of his angels home.  My grandpa Malcolm was an amazing husband, father of 6 beautiful girls, 20 grandchildren, and 1 (2 on the way) great- grandchildren.  Grandpa in my eyes was a bit of a Santa Claus to me.  He was that jolly soul that sat in his chair on the side of the party always smiling as he listened to the conversations that bustled around him.  Now, if he was watching television and the Aflac duck came on, then that smile would quickly fade as he would mumble something about that stupid duck!  One of my favorite memories of my grandpa was a time when we were playing hide and go seek in my childhood home and it was grandpas turn to hide.  I had looked everywhere and went last to the pantry at the back of the kitchen. There in pantry was a man as serious as can be hiding behind a mop!  My grandfather was an extremely witty and smart man as he kept his mind youthful with crosswords everyday and scrabble tournaments with anyone that would play.  Heaven is an incredibly lucky place to have my grandpa who was a supportive and loving man of this large family he created.  Grandpa, I love and miss you and pray that someday I will be playing scrabble or hide and go seek with you in heaven.

I have changed my music for some inspiration!

Baby #2 Update

We had an ultrasound on April 12th to check the sex of the baby and found out is going to be a GIRL!!  We are so excited and Ella is going to be a great Big Sister!  The ultrasound looks so much like Ella did at 16 weeks.  I love it!!  Now, if we can just agree and decide on a name!

Easter 2010

Last year, Ella was a tiny baby for easter and had some pictures taken inside of a basket.  This year she got to actually hold a basket and collect some Easter eggs.
